Chapter 92. Everything Has Its Price
Gael left the barn of the ships, observing the party around him, not knowing what to think about it. The world was literally ending and his people were eating, drinking and dancing carefree.
He shook his head. He didn't want to think about anything other than his soul at that moment. It was her he needed to see and feel her warmth. He missed her. A longing that pained his chest, but which could be assuaged by the strength of his Luna's passion.
Without anyone noticing his arrival, he looked at the crowd of heads in the hope of finding her, but it was only when he looked back at the palace, at his bedroom window, that their eyes met. She was staring at him, hugging herself as if she felt cold. He smiled and his heart seemed to start beating again for the first time since he began his journey.
