Pulled to the darkest depths of her subconscious, Mercedes felt like she was hopelessly floating in a cold, dark sea. She reached out for someone to pull her out and save her, but there was no one. She was alone. It had finally come to the point she feared most. Drakoen was going to use her against her people, and she couldn't do anything about it. She had lost the fight already. Even though she was pushed away and had no control over her body, she could still hear and see what was going on. She could see it all, but she couldn't do anything. All she could do was watch in despair as her body obeyed the will of another.

“Please... save me... anyone.”

Tears slipped out of her eyes, falling into the abyss, disappearing like she was. All she hoped for was that someone would stop her, even if they had to kill her to do so. She didn't want to hurt innocent people. That would kill her. Life would not be worth living with blood
