Chapter 26

Felix and Mercedes were sitting across from each other in his office. The situation had stabilized and Alexa was fine but just still unconscious. Earlier, when Felix was about to tell Mercedes the truth about her fate, Crystal and Jacob arrived and interrupted their conversation. Crystal tended to Alexa's wounds and Jacob carried her away to the guest room. Now they were left alone, but the tension was thick it could be cut with a knife.

Mercedes was waiting for Felix to say something, but he was quiet and had his head in his hands. That just made her all the more nervous and anxious. She was suddenly not sure if she wanted to know what Felix had to say. Because of the state Alexa is in, it looked pretty serious. Felix, on the other hand, was struggling as to what to say to her.
