Chapter 83

Alexa used a portal to take him back out of the academy. Felix didn't say anything. He was lost in his thoughts. Alexa sighed. There was nothing she could do. The council wouldn't allow him to stay. They would make a fuss and make things worse. It was not worth going through all that trouble.

“You don't have to worry and go back. I will make sure to take care of her and the baby. Once the baby is born, it won't be able to stay, so I'll make arrangements to send it to you.”

Felix's eyes widened in shock.

“What? But the baby is going to need his mother more than he needs me. How will Mercedes stay without him?”

“She will stay with him for the first week of his birth. I know this might sound insensitive, but she has no time to be a mother. She has to get back in shape as quickly as possible and be ready. She won't be able to do that and take care of the child.
