Mercedes held Horace tightly to her body, but not enough to hurt him. It was time for him to leave. Mercedes was hesitant to let him go. It was heartbreaking for her to hand over her son, but she managed to do it. She remained strong in front of Alexa and Yuna, but inside, she was torn apart. Her dear Horace was leaving and going to separate from her just like his father. Alexa held Horace in her arms, looking at him playing around with his hands without any worry in the world. He was unaware that his mother would not be with him from that day going forward.

“Alright. We will leave now. I will drop him off at his father and I will be back in a day.”

Alexa said. Before she could leave, Mercedes stopped her.

“Wait a minute.”

She walked to Alexa and leaned down to kiss Horace on the forehead. She took one last look at him and then kissed his little knuckles as
