Chapter 38. Plan
HENRY FORD
Despite our outcry, she compassionately understood sometimes. I didn't want to get a divorce; we have been so happy together. We barely had a bump in the road; our ten-year relationship has been super perfect. And that was the problem. She never protested against me; she wouldn't even bet against me.
"Honey, we're partners. Why would I pick something opposite you?"
"But baby, it's all in fun," I'd tell her sternly.
"But, no. And speaking of which. If you bet against the Dolphins then so will I, we're a team. I hate football, but if my man puts a hundred bucks on the Patriots then gahdamn it I do, too. I can't take Miami against you."
"Baby, its competition, Marital Competition."
And she'd start to cry because my words hurt her, and I would bow down and do things her way and she seemed happy. I should had known better, she's a tough, stubborn woman. I should know she only cried to get her way! But this time shit has hit the fan.
