After six years! I had not seen him for the last six long years.

The corridor had an antiseptic smell as I walked with my heels on it started making noise and I regretted wearing a heel.

I allowed Mathias to lead me to the ward as I was too dazed because of the surroundings around me. As soon as we entered my heartbeat started beating rapidly and I saw Cathy running towards me with her arms outstretched.

“Carmen you are here!” Cathy lent forward and kissed my cheek. “He’s so weak Carmen you will see what I mean. He’s too weak to say much don’t let him talk just smile at him.”

“Smile!” I groaned. Thankfully Cathy held my hand or I would freak out. Cathy opened the door of the room in which he lay and took my hand, leading me across the door towards the bed. A nurse sat at the little desk. She turned her head standing up eyes curious.
