Chapter 16
I woke up in the evening and felt very refreshed and it was almost dark outside.
There was a tray beside the bed containing a fresh pot of tea.
I was feeling very thirsty and I got up and had some of it was very refreshing and with a deliberate effort, I slid out of the bed and carried my traveling robe into the bathroom. I showered and got dressed wearing a white shirt and a short skirt. I remember the expensive wardrobe or evening clothes that I had left in the flat in Milan seven years ago, of course, they would have been unsuitable for my lifestyle in London after giving birth to my son. Jeans and sweatshirts were more suitable for bringing up children than fashionable clothes and diamonds.
The housekeeper tapped on the door and entered saying dinner was ready I followed her and went down towards the dining room.
