Chapter 47
“I’m glad to see that you have all honored me and gathered here today.” Minrad began with his speech. Asha was supposed to be by his side as he stood still by the mountain entrance, where he could easily be seen by all the villagers who had gathered, mostly for the sake of gossip, to know who their new leader was, what had happened to Ash and what was going on.
It was tradition for his wife to be up with him if he did have one. But she felt ashamed of her husband’s actions, knowing that selfishness was always rewarded, especially spiritually.
Sitting in one corner of her room frying, she hugged her knees to her chest, “My husband is a dead man.” She knew it. She just did.
