Seduction

The sun had dipped below the horizon by the time they arrived in Umbris. Dominic guided her into the house she was familiar with. She wasn’t that familiar with it—she only knew two rooms, the dining hall, the living room downstairs, and the kitchen. Walking into the house now was going to be different. She’d get to see the entire house because it was her new home. Her only hope was to cope and actually find it comforting, like her room back in Scuris.

They walked past the living room and headed for the stair. She had never been upstairs. This was the first time he was taking her there. She followed him up without questioning him. She wasn’t here as a guest after all.
