Book 2: Time to Get to Work

I crawl on the bed next to Rafe and he falls asleep stroking my fur. It seems to comfort him. I like snuggling him as a wolf. It feels right.

Of course, having my wolf on the surface makes it a little difficult for the medical staff to do their jobs. Every time someone approaches that I don’t recognize, and even some I do, I lift my head and growl.

“Could you knock that off?” Jerim grumbles after a while.
