BELLA

They didn't react for a long time. You would have thought I ordered them to jump into a cauldron of oil with the way they stared at me, not knowing I just asked them to mark me. 

“Why do you suddenly want that?” Fred removed stray strands of hair from my face.

“Because I need us to be one.” I took his hand in mine and placed a kiss on the back, smiling. “I want you to mark me. Make me yours. Fully.”

Even though I wasn't very knowledgeable about my planet, I knew getting marked by them would make our bond deeper. 

“Are you positive about that? It will hurt.” Fred looked like he wanted me to back down until I was certain it was what I wished. 

“Of course.” I lifted my palm to his face and caressed his cheek. “I know what I want. Getting your Mark is one of the things I want. We can discuss the others when we get the chance.”

Aside from returning to work, and meeting Chris, whom I have not seen for a long time, I wanted to
