As Scarlett made her way home, her mind was consumed with the words of the Lycan king. During the full moon, Lycans experienced the most joyous moments of their lives, with countless blessings bestowed upon them. It was a time when Lycans would find their destined mates and make their claim, or so it was meant to be. It was something she had never encountered before. 

With each full moon, she found herself overwhelmed with a deep sense of regret, causing her to abandon her ability to shift altogether before parting ways with her adopted parents. She could not find any reason for it. She was constantly targeted by those who had nothing better to do than to make her life miserable. Instead of finding strength, she found herself burdened with weakness, pain, and overwhelming sadness.
