Zachary's POV

He was the reason for her decision to come out for a shift. He insisted that it was crucial, and he should have included her on his team. As Leah proposed bringing her team along, he could not help but sense a hint of unease in her. He dismissed it and convinced himself that her inexperience was to blame, so he allowed them to continue. 

After completing their shift, he and his team headed back to the field to begin numbering. It was crucial to determine if anyone had accidentally entered another territory and become trapped during the shift. Leah proceeded to explain to him the unfortunate situation where Dawn had strayed away from the group, leaving them unable to locate her despite their extensive search efforts. His heart raced with fear. She was the least likely person he anticipated to stray. He was determined to find her.
