My eyebrow flew open at what was actually going on in front of me, and I felt a sharp thud in my heart.

Rhea was rasping in pain, and I knew what this was all about. She was transforming into her wolf—this shit fucking happens to first-time shifters.

Having constant pain as you notice the breaking of your bones, bending and pushing you down to transform into your wolf, your other half.
