“We can all dig in,” Kian declared openly, the clicking of the cutleries against the plates can be heard. Daemon kept tapping his jaw when staring at me, not making any move to pick up the cutleries in front of him.

I was still shadowed by my thoughts when suddenly the other Alphas spit out the foods immediately from their mouth while seeking water. My eyes flew open, Kian and I both exchanged a confused look and just then the people that had tested the food started spitting it out.
