Chapter 26. Lycan’s Lifetime Mate

Daemon’s POV

As the frosty morning sun rose, I stood on the western side of my pack’s border training with my warriors. Gesturing for them to step forward, they charged at me one by one. My eyes gleamed darkly as my wolf threatened to take control.

Anger and rage surged through me as I flailed them to the ground in a fit of fury. Howling angrily at the sky, I saw Rhea’s bruised neck flash before my eyes.

Who dared lay a finger on my mate? As I extended my claws towards one of my warriors’ faces, someone caught hold of my hand just in time.

Furious growls escaped from me as I snapped and pinned the person to the dusty earth below us. It was a close call; their neck almost met with my sharp claws before everything turned hazy.

“Sam,” I groaned, “What are you doing here?” I scoff.

“What’s wrong with you?” He barked almost in a whisper as I still had my claws around his neck.
