Daemon’s POV

Sam creased his brow in confusion, taking a step back, “You can’t possibly mean that,” he doubted, his eyes round with shock.

“It's hard seeing her under the same roof with that brat,” I cursed under my breath.

“But the girl in question is married and also mated to Kian.”

“Don’t you dare!!” I furiously bang my fist on my desk again, my gaze ruthlessly falling on him. I barked, causing him to stiffen. A flash of rage stalked my eyes.

Sam tilted his head to the other side before his gaze fell on me after a few minutes of silence, “That is fine by me, but…” He paused. “Is that why you have always been on her case?”

“Yes,” I nodded and plopped on the couch. “And you never intended to tell me.”

“Because you never gave me the reasons to,” I remind him of his actions in case he has already forgotten.
