Chapter 48. Nothing to Lose

Rhea’s POV

We were inches away from each other, my throat burning as I inhaled his scent. For some odd reason, his scent makes my stomach churn. I felt nausea, and my heart was filled with nothing but hatred.

I did not say a word but kept glaring at him and that only widened his smile. Kian released his hold before pushing back to the ground, “I see that you fear rejection, dear wife.”

Smart head, I know that he was going to use that against me though I never saw that coming. So it has gotten to this extent… Rejection!!

His smile suddenly faded away and was replaced with a fierce look. “If you value your position, then better not annoy me.” With that, he stormed out of the hallway.

“You know…” I suddenly spoke up, “Rejecting me is of no use,” he instantly stopped at my words.

“I have no wolf to accept your rejection, even if you went ahead and rejected me. You think I have something to lose?” I took a curious step forward. He is n
