Rhea’s POV

I froze at that moment.

But before I could react a loud growl silenced the air, confusing me.

I pulled my head to where the loud growl erupted from, Kian…

Why the sudden affection from him? Kian has never acted like this before, first at the entrance of the door and now this!

The booming music has long stopped and every attention was on the three of us. Kian looked outraged. My gaze darted back to Daemon but his attention was fixed on Kian, showing no emotions.

“How dare you growl at your king?!”

“Have you lost it?” Daemon snapped, barely in a low tone. Not caring to mask his emotions, he seems infuriated and ready to smash ahead.

I watch Kian’s face hardened, unsmiling, I sense the way his body is trembling with raw hatred. For some odd reason, he had his gaze fixed on Daemon. Not ready to look away.

What is this madness? Has he forgotten that Daemon is the king? There are so many eyes on him for goodness sake,
