Rhea’s POV

It hasn’t been up to three minutes since I left the party room and was walking down the hallway when I noticed that I had been followed.

I clutched the hem of my dress, thinking that it was Daemon but when I spun around instantly I couldn’t see a thing. My mouth draws up an unsatisfying line.

“Who is there?” I asked confidently, ensuring to hide my fear and control the heavy pounding of my heart.

I swiveled around but to my surprised self there was nobody behind me, but I could feel a presence trailing beside me. Turning around instantly at the other side, my gaze falls on the figure before me.

“Sam,” I stammered.

“Did I startle you or we’re expecting to see someone else?” Sam spoke softly as I took in his appearance. I didn’t even notice his dress during the party, he looked breathtaking in his whitish-colored tuxedo.
