Chapter 193. Sorrows
When the glass shreds pierced her skin she welcomed the pain and even laughed at her bleeding hands. She laughed at the sight of blood.
The crimson drops rolled down her fingers, warm and glistening, catching the dim light like molten rubies. The faint metallic tang filled the air, sharp enough to sting her nostrils, mingling with the smell of rain that leaked through the cracked windows. Each droplet splattered softly against the marble floor, whispering like a macabre lullaby.
Doom~
Darkness~
That was all she was.
Doom and Darkness... These were the only two things she bought with herself where ever she went.
The storm outside howled, rattling the windows as if the heavens themselves mourned her. Shadows clung to her skin like old memories, refusing to let go. Her reflection in the broken mirror seemed to grin back—a ghostly echo of the madness she kept buried inside.
