Chapter 57. Wolfless and Illegitimate

The Lycan king Hector was restless. He knew that Wayne and Alexa were close. But he could not say for certain just how close.

‘Were they close as close friends or very close as intimate, lovers?’ The thought caused him to ball his hands into a fist.

‘What is the problem with me?’ he thought. ‘I can have any woman I want but here I am wanting someone who has not as much as shown the slightest interest in me.’

“But I don’t want him protecting Alexa. He can’t protect her as well as I,” he argued. “I am the Lycan king after all.” Then he voiced the thought that had been troubling him. “But how can the both of us be mated to her? And we are not even of the same kind!”
