Chapter 24. The Choice We Make

The sound of the bell echoes throughout the surroundings, piercing the silence with surprising intensity.

“Miss, what is your purpose for being here?” a voice came through the monitor. Taylor was initially startled by the metallic sound but quickly regained her composure.

“I would like to speak with Alpha Dimitri. Although I do not have an appointment, what I have to tell him is urgent,” she explained in an attempt to gain entry to Crescent Moon.

“Interesting. Anyone can say that,” the owner of the voice retorted skeptically. “What is your name and which pack are you from?”
