Gabriella's eyes widened in shock, her struggles momentarily ceasing. "What are you talking about?" she spat, her voice trembling with disbelief.

Enzo's eyes softened, his grip loosening slightly. "I found out from the doctor at the hospital when we rushed you in. You’re pregnant, Gabriella. We’re having a child."

Gabriella shook her head, her tears flowing anew. "No, you’re lying. This is just another one of your manipulative games. I don’t believe you."

Enzo slowly released her hand and took a step back, giving her space. "I know it’s hard to trust me, especially now. But this isn’t a lie. You’re going to be a mother."

Gabriella's mind raced. She tried to recall any signs she might have missed, but she had been so overwhelmed with everything else. The truth of Enzo's words started to sink in, and a new wave of fear washed over her.

"No," she whispered, "This can’t be happening."
