Chapter 150. A World Transformed
Several hours pass on the never-ending trip to Lara’s past. The road leading to Grosthe is a wide, eight-lane highway, and today there are scarcely any cars on it. Lara insists on traveling for miles without stopping. To her, there is no need to. Her desire for revenge blocksher senses, ridding her of thirst and appetite.
She wishes for her head to be as clear as possible. No questions. No contemplations. After all, she hadenough time to think about all of that back in Ivory Town. But this seems impossible.
If only wishes were horses.
The interior of her ride is designed with brown leather. Its coziness does not offer her much comfort despite the humongous price she paid for the trip. This must be because her mind would not just settle. She glares out the window and beholds a bold billboard overhead having a bold inscription; WELCOME TO GROSTHECITY.
