Chapter 159. Threatening the Mafia
Her office paper holder, crafted to anchor papers against the whims of a passing breeze, transforms into an instrument of sudden aggression as it hurtles towards the manager with ominous intent.
Gasps echo through the room as everyone recoils in shock at her action. Only her assistant maintains a stoic demeanor. It is no revelation to him, after all.
The manager takes a moment to register the pain from the impact of the metal on his forehead. Yet, he has no time to dwell on it. Dropping to his knees, he deliberately strikes his bloodied head against the spotless white marble floor.
"My apologies, ma'am," he murmurs, kissing the floor and leaving a trail of red on his lips.
