"According to Patricia," Grace continues. "The old woman was unwelcoming at first because she thought the coven had sent her. But when she saw that Patricia was desperately in need of her help, she let her in and listened to her plight. Afterward, the woman only gave her a single sentence and sent her away."
"What did she say?" Lara's brows rise.
"She says that a bloody spell can only be broken by blood.”
"Did you..." Lara begins, hesitating.
"Yes, Lara," Grace cut in, her voice tense. "He made me curse myself with his blood so that I wouldn't harm any of his descendants."
