“Please, Ms. Lara, follow me.” She rises to her feet to Lara’s surprise and turns to the other visitors.

“I urge you to give us a moment to discuss this in private, please. It is of utmost importance.” She leaves a smile behind as she opens the door, then turns to Lara who is still seated with mouth agape. “Shall we?”

This startles Lara even more. Her muscles tighten as she slowly rises and follows Dr. Mary behind, whispers and murmurs trailing her motion. On reaching the other side of the door, at the lobby,  Dr. Mary pulls out a key and locks the door.
