The young nurse, Danielle, who was taking care of Theodore Smith, also stood up and greeted him sweetly. Recently, since her mother Emily spent most of her time caring for Liam’s mother, Danielle had been the one attending to Theodore Smith.

Liam nodded at Danielle, then turned to Theodore Smith with a smile. "It’s no trouble at all. The hotel work is finally done for now, so I should be able to take a few days off. How have you been feeling these past couple of days, Uncle Smith?"

"I’m feeling alright, though it might just be a final burst of energy," Theodore Smith chuckled, then asked, "How’s your mother doing?"

"She’s doing okay. The targeted therapy seems to be working well so far," Liam said as he expertly peeled an apple for Theodore Smith.

"That’s good to hear. By the way, I’ve been working on a few herbal remedies over the past few days that might help with your mother’s condition. I’ve had Danielle note t
