Chapter 113. Strained Silence
Elizabeth POV
After another quick shower, Daniel and I slept until early evening. A few hours of rest had rejuvenated us both, enough to face tonight’s meeting with the pack. In addition to the usual gathering of all the wolves, my father, my sister, and Grant would be there soon. The thought still sounded strange in my thoughts: Father. Sister. And to think that the word vampire now applied to all three of us—it felt surreal.
I never would have believed that in the span of a single day I’d become a vampire myself, with crimson irises and a newfound appetite, daughter of the king. If someone had told me yesterday that all of this would happen by nightfall, I’d have laughed in their face.
