Then Alpha’s jaws sank into my hind leg, not merely gripping but tearing. I felt the sickening snap of tendons as they yielded under his power. A howl shredded my throat as my Wolf crashed to the floor, chest heaving, talons dug into the boards for purchase. I tried to rise, to keep fighting, but my body refused orders.
