Chapter 10. The Woods

Selena sighed, putting the phone away. Her heart felt heavier than three elephants. She felt like she was losing her mind, her nerves were all over the place and she was so scared.

No matter what, the fear just wasn’t going away. Even with her new plan, she was still very scared.

She stood up from the ground and could hear something like a river. She could hear the running water, reminding her of how thirsty she had been since last night.

She started walking towards the sound until she finally reached the river. It was flowing not too strongly and there were no wild animals around.

She needed to make sure of that because last year, there were reports of wild animals attacking people. But that was last year, this year, there has not really been anything like that.
