Chapter 14. The Alpha

The sound of cheering filled the air and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. But as soon as the alpha raised his hand, it went quiet. Everyone stopped and focused fully on what their leader was about to say.

Selena tried to get closer to the stage but it was close to impossible since almost everyone had the same idea. So she just stood where she was and watched, her skin still itchy due to the light of the full moon.

As she stared at the alpha, her heart pounded, but not in fear or nervousness. It was as if a part of her was calling for him; as if she was meant to be close to him. It was as if she was meant to be by his side.

She did not know how to explain it better than that. But she knew that she was not here for anything else than begging the guy for mercy.
