As soon as Selena blinked, she was awake. It took a few seconds for her vision to clear up, but it did. And when it did, the first person that she saw was Axiel. He had a worried look on his face, but his eyes held relief.

“F*ck, I thought…I thought…” He stood up and ran his hand through his hair, almost as if he was trying to process what had just happened. Then he looked back at her, and they locked eyes. “What happened? One minute, we were training like we always do, and the next, you just…you blacked out.”

“How long was I out for?” She asked as she proceeded to get off the ground after peeling her eyes away from his. He reached out and helped her. Her head was aching, and she felt a little lightheaded as well, but other than that, she was fine.
