Maybe she should have found an excuse for her absence before she had left, but she had not done that. And there was no going back in time to do that. Her phone kept buzzing, and she just knew that it was him trying to get to her without her looking at the screen.
She really needed an excuse, or she would risk being killed by the guy. And gosh, she did not want to die. No one wanted to die, did they? Even though they would be tired of life and depressed, they really did not want to die; they just wanted things to get better.
They just wanted to be happy, just like everyone else. Wasn’t that what everyone wanted? Happiness?
