Chapter 85. Cassie’s Story

“What happened?” Cassie asked a girl standing right next to her. “Did someone get hurt?”

The girl turned to her and replied, “A girl came in with her guts spilling out. She said someone attacked her and started talking about how it’s all connected to a dark prophecy.”

“Oh my God…”

“Yeah, it was wild. The Alpha and his new girlfriend tried to help, but the girl died in their arms before the paramedics could get here.”

Hearing the Omega called Maddox’s new girlfriend made Cassie’s heart clench in pain. She nodded at the girl in appreciation for the information before making her way past the crowd and heading out of the building.

Once outside, her eyes went directly to where the car should have been parked. But it was gone. “Sh*t,” she cursed under her breath. Did the Alpha really leave her here?
