The word made Selena’s heart drop. She knew about this stuff; she had learned about it in high school. It was illegal in most packs, including theirs. This was something that could kill a full-grown werewolf in just a few minutes—sometimes even less, depending on its potency.

And now the Omega had just been told that Cassie had given her that very substance to drink. “You’re trying to kill me?”

The blonde girl swallowed hard before replying, “I was.” She sighed shakily. “But not anymore. That’s why I took the mug away from you.”

“Cassie, I drank half of what was in the mug! And you watched me!”

“I know, that’s why…” She walked past the Omega and headed to the door, opening it. “That’s why we need to go to the hospital now. I want to save you.”
