“Are you sure that Bridget is in this area? I know Beta Malcolm said that our daughter’s mate is human, but I thought she was at least around a werewolf pack. Do you know how dangerous it is to be a werewolf in the human world?”

Bridget’s mother, Rose, keeps her eyes on the road as her husband continues to talk. However, even with her sharp wolf hearing, it only sounds like a low rumble.

She probably should have told him about her pack years ago, but she had made a promise when she left the pack to work in another part of the country to tell no one about the pack. That included her mate and her child.
