Katelyn’s POV

I’m still in shock. Wyatt has never come into my bedroom before. Why did he come in and sit on my bed today? Not only that, why was he standing in the bathroom watching me? What is going on?

Now, I definitely need to find out if there is a way to block people from reading my mind. I don’t need the entire pack knowing what I’m thinking, especially Wyatt.

My thoughts are interrupted by Bridget’s tired voice echoing in my head. “Are you coming, Katelyn? We don’t have too much time before my heat kicks in again.”

I glance over to my side at Wyatt as we continue to walk down the hallway in silence before I reply through the mind link, “We are coming. Don’t worry. Wait. You’re in heat? Don’t you get that later, after you have mated?”

Her soft chuckle fills my head. “No, silly. Your first heat is triggered when you meet your mate, and you claim each other. That is why the first 24 hours are so intense. The heat is at its peak then.”
