Leandros’s POV
“I’ll thank you when the time is right, Leandros. Right now, I’m a little disturbed. Once the blizzard stops, you can dump me anywhere and go back to Lucania. I’m sorry for the trouble I caused you.” I watched her get up and go towards the bunk beds.
I wanted to hold her close and tell her I didn’t want her to go back. I wanted to stay with her, protect her, and take care of her forever. It was just a matter of four months!
I wanted to hide her for four months.
Not once did I regret choosing my mate’s safety over my pack’s. I wanted to tell Lyra, but what if I lose my restraint in such a close environment?
I didn’t want to take advantage of her innocence. I might be a reckless wolf, but I wasn’t a feral one, and I treasured my mate more than anyone else in the world. She was mine to cherish.
