Book 4: Where Will I Sleep?
Hazel’s POV
“So, it’s working, right? Am I able to seduce you?” He couldn’t seem to curb his chuckles.
“Not at all. All is lost between us, Stavros. You killed it. So, don’t even bring it up or I’ll leave.” I was upset with him for joking about something I had dreamed of since I realized he was my mate. It was a happily ever after with him. Maybe it was a joke for him, but for me, it was my life, my everything.
His smile vanished, but I stomped angrily out of his room to mine. I was upset, but I had no plan of leaving him in this state. I loved him too much to do that. Why did he bring out the worst in me these days? Our relationship was far from bitter. Then what changed now? Why did every interaction with him end in a fight?
I stayed in my room, feeling restless and upset. Although I knew I should check up on him, I didn’t dare to go.
