Stavros’s POV

Hazel gasped, realizing my intention. Yes, after listening to her fight Alpha Zander for me, I was determined to name her mine. For the first time in my life, I was now scared of losing her. Alpha Zander’s offer sounded too good to be true. What if Hazel accepted it? After all, she hadn’t even declined him outright.

“I’m not interested in you, Stavros! Go to hell!” She thrashed in my arms. I knew she was mad at me.

“We’re going home.” I set her down on my snowmobile and steered it towards my house. “Hold into me if you want no broken bones.”

She held onto me, and I smiled in satisfaction. I sped along the snowy terrain, taking a shorter route to my house. I couldn’t wait to hold her in my arms and comfort her.

Would my reality repel her? Would she run a hundred miles knowing what a Grypwolf looked like?

I developed cold feet at the last minute.
