Cerelia’s POV
His question made my blood boil while he constantly grinned like a fool. “Stop staring, Xandrios.” Yes, I was mad at him. How could he make fun of my dad? How could he even think my dad was cursed?
“I will stare. You’re mine. Get used to it.”
I rolled my eyes and helped myself to the sandwiches we ordered. The flight would reach Whitehorse in an hour, and I couldn’t wait to go home.
“How long will we stay in Silver Trails?” If my dad was alive, we could have lived there forever. But I knew Xandrios would never leave Lucania. He was deeply attached to his village and profession. It was more than a dream for him. It was the essence of his life, and I felt guilty for tearing him out of his roots.
