Alexander’s POV

“She regained consciousness!” Blake reported, and the sourness in my chest slowly melted away.

“Who did what?” I demanded, hoping he wasn’t referring to someone else.

“Danica… She’s awake,” He corrected and an inaudible sign escaped me.

One of the Elders was currently speaking but I couldn’t catch one more single word of his. Blake’s words kept repeating itself over and over again in my head without permission.

“That’s the end of today’s meeting,” I announced, cutting off whatever he was saying before storming out of the hall.

My eyes locked on the Gamma’s as I made my way out but I said nothing. Holy hell, it took me all my hard earned self-control to act like I knew nothing about what he did to Danica.
