Chapter 10. Breakfast Revelations
The conversation took a more relaxed turn, and we continued walking until we reached a different restaurant for breakfast. I was relieved it was not the same place we dined at last night. The resort usually delivered food to our villa, but this time we opted to eat at the restaurant.
Once we were inside, we were greeted by the staff. “Good morning, Ma’am and Sir. Please let me guide your family to the vacant table. Should we change the one seat for your baby?” She asked innocently.
I took my hand out and shook it to tell her that she had made a mistake. “Oh, we’re not a family. We’re just, uh…” Silas and I looked at each other as we both tried to find the correct answer to say.
"We're friends who happened to be babysitting," Silas clarified with a warm smile, sparing me from having to come up with an explanation. "Also, no need to change seats. Gabriel is a big boy. He can handle himself, right?" Silas affectionately patted Gabriel's h
