Chapter 14. Chasing Glimpse

Thankfully, we managed to make it back to the villa in one piece, though my mind was swirling with embarrassment when I recollected everything that transpired at the bar with Silas. I cringed inwardly at the thought of how much I had exposed and shared with him while under the influence of alcohol. My carefully constructed walls had crumbled, and I had poured out my emotions without restraint.

"So much for putting up my walls," I mumbled to myself, feeling a mix of regret and vulnerability.

I heard Silas's voice from outside the door. “Hey, are you awake? They got us a hangover soup.” He gently called out to me.

I pushed the comforter away from my face, rubbing my temples to soothe the lingering headache from the alcohol. "Yes, I'm awake. I'll be there in a minute!" I replied, my voice groggy with the remnants of sleep.
