Chapter 129. Stealth Encounters

Thelis accompanied Liane in her studies and made sure that only she could see him, with the help of his magic.

He found the teaching of humans dull. He was used to using his focus only on things he considered important to take into his life. He didn't understand how Liane could enjoy a theoretical teaching about fighting and weapons, if it was obvious that she would never use it in her life.

But it gave him an idea. He decided that he would take Liane on one of his fights as soon as the war was over. As soon as they had finished all their lessons, her brothers went out into the garden while they waited for meal time. Liane made an excuse and went to stay with Thelis in the greenhouse. He went into the orchard and picked a purple fruit and ate it quickly before turning to Liane.

"I've stayed here long enough. I have to go... I cannot allow anyone from our worlds to suspect our relationship. I fear Kreyer has spies everywhere. We may be being watched
