Chapter 135. Sign of the Beginning of the War

Afhany stared at that woman standing in front of her, looking for a debauchery or a bad joke.

"What are you doing here?"

"I came to see you."

"I spent years of my life waiting for you to come and see me.... Why now?"

"I'm sort of a prisoner. I couldn't visit you often. Your father wouldn't allow it and after I started wanting to interfere in your life, he didn't even allow me to come near you anymore.... Now he only allows me to see my granddaughter. I only came now because Moses and Thelis helped me out of my prison. But soon I have to go back. Before Kreyer misses me..."

Afhany got up and went to get a glass of water. He offered it to the woman, but she refused.

"Where is Moses?"

"He's with Thelis somewhere in the castle. Does he know?" Her mother asked shrewdly and Afhany felt her face burn.

"No! And I don't want him to know."
