Chapter 53. Better
Afhany returned from breakfast very calm. Thinking to herself that nothing Moses said to her would surprise her. He was still sitting in the same chair. She walked past him and taking his hand led him to his chamber. Where she placed two armchairs facing each other. She offered one for him to sit in and when she saw him settled down she sat in the other and stared at him, waiting for him to begin his story.
Moses told everything. He did not hide a single detail from Afhany. He saw the tears start to stream down her face, but something told him that he had to continue and that she was being strong in listening to everything he told her without changing her expression. The only thing that gave away that what she was hearing was affecting her were her tears. Moses finished his report, stood up, and taking her hands helped her up and hugged her. Her tears soaked his clothes, but he didn't care. He waited for her to calm down and wiped her tears with the back of his hand. He w
